Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Bloom Graphics and Software Development, trading as BloomEvents ("BloomEvents", "we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our Platform.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data. By continuing to use the BloomEvents Platform, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

Section 2

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be 'session cookies' (which are deleted when you close your browser) or 'persistent cookies' (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). Cookies can also be 'first-party cookies' (set by the website you are visiting) or 'third-party cookies' (set by a different website).

Section 3

Cookies We Use

BloomEvents uses a limited number of cookies, primarily for essential platform functionality. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

3.1 Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)

These cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include: Session Cookie (__session) - Used by Firebase Authentication to maintain your login session and keep you securely signed in. This cookie is essential for accessing protected areas of the Platform such as your dashboard, event management, and ticket purchases.

3.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. If you disable these cookies, some services may not function properly.

3.3 Analytics Cookies

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Platform. These cookies collect information about page visits, time spent on pages, and any errors encountered. This data helps us improve the Platform experience. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

3.4 Error Tracking Cookies

We use Sentry for error monitoring and crash reporting to identify and fix technical issues. Sentry may store session identifiers to help us understand the context of errors. This is only active in production and helps us maintain platform stability and reliability.

Section 5

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our Platform are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. The third parties that set cookies on our Platform include:

Used for authentication services and analytics. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy

Sentry

Payment Providers

When you make a payment, you may be redirected to our payment providers (such as Paystack or Flutterwave) who may set their own cookies. These are subject to the payment provider's own cookie and privacy policies.

Section 6

Managing Cookies

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can usually find these settings in the 'Options' or 'Preferences' menu of your browser. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is being set.

6.2 Consequences of Disabling Cookies

If you disable essential cookies, you will not be able to log in to your account or use authenticated features of the Platform. If you disable analytics cookies, we will not be able to improve the Platform based on usage patterns, but your core experience will not be affected.
